Hello. I am Cassius Beck Winkelman. I, as you might already know, am running for president in 2040. Sorry for this site being dormant for so long, I know it was annoying, but it’s finally up and running. I am a very liberal, tofu eating, vegetarian, atheist, hippie, democrat. I know that might not sound like the best for my campaign, but I just want you to hear me out. I really started campaigning during the 2016 election, or as John Oliver on Last Week Tonight (HBO) called it, “A horrifying glimpse at Satan’s Pinterest board 2016”. I was very intrigued by the display and the difference of opinions that were in view during the debates. I eventually got way too into it, and even began to stage debates with one of my (slightly more conservative) friends. I really started thinking that I could be president when I was watching the Republican debates, and I thought that I could actually beat those guys in a debate. So I started campaigning. My dad and I made T-shirts, and put up the website. We even filmed a speech that we hadn’t published until a long time after it was filmed. (Depending on when you’re reading this, it may not be published yet.) I eventually made the catchy slogan ‘I Like PIE’, where PIE stands for Progress, innovation, and economy, three of the things that I will support when I am voted into presidency. One of the main things I am running for is the slight defunding of military. We have the strongest military in the world. We don’t need it to be stronger. I will publish my plan to have less lives lost in war later, and I just leave you with this.
